Meet the Orea Wave Filter Paper — Orea UK’s own take on the classic wave-style filter.

Made from high-grade Japanese paper, these filters were refined over years of testing to hit the sweet spot between structure, flow, and flavour. The paper is intentionally dense yet highly porous, allowing water to move cleanly through the bed while keeping fines out of the cup. The result? Clearer brews, a smoother texture, and none of the papery notes that can creep into lesser filters.

Each box is neatly packed with 100 individual sheets that separate easily and hold their shape, making your workflow as tidy as your brews.

We currently stock the 185 size — a versatile fit for all flat-bottom Orea brewers, including the V3 MK2, Glass & Porcelain OPEN, V4 Narrow & Wide, and the O1. It also plays nicely with other brewers designed for 185-style wave filters, such as the Kalita Wave and Origami. (Note: the BIG BOY uses its own dedicated filter.)
